Celebrate the 4th of July
Attend Paws for Cause July 25th!
July is upon us, and here in Southern California, summer is"on" with sunny, mild days at the beach.
As we approach our country's celebration of independence on July 4th, there is much to be thankful for in the country, and much to mourn as people across the country face losses due to weather events, or the horrendous losses down the Gulf Coast due to the oil spill. What we know is that our country's people pull together to help in these events. We see that as the spirit of our country, which is what we can celebrate on the 4th of July.
As a company, Beech Sandal Co., LLC tries to do it's part, which this month is donating sandals and money to the Gulf disaster, and supporting a specific local fundraiser "Paws for Cause" on July 25th in Huntington Beach. Paws for Cause has created a 5K, 5 K Dog Run, 1 K Kids Fun Run, and a Dog Costume Contest to raise money to provide stuffed animals to hospitalized, special needs, and less fortunate children and seniors, and hosting mobile food outreaches in poverty-stricken areas of Orange County.
Beech has partnered with the Doggie Chef Company to promote Paws for Cause. So, please check out their link, www.pawsforcauseoc.org to see what the excitement is all about and more about the "cause." Also if you do attend, please come by the Doggie Chef Company's booth for free dog treats, contests and fun. Our Macots, Jack and Colleen, will be there! Jumping for Joy and Ready for Treats!

Back to Yoga Sandals(R)! Right now we are celebrating the 4th of July with a SPECIAL on our Blue and Red Sandals, regularly $31.95, on sale for $24.95. Due to limited quantities, we couldn't add the white ones to the sale, but they are available as well. Think about attending those BBQ's in your healthy red or blue flip-flops! Unlike regular flip-flops that stress the foot and ankle, these stabilize the feet and body, work on flexibility of the joints and bones, improve nerve and blood circulation, and exercise foot and calf muscles. Prevention Magazine called them The Better Flip-Flop(R)!

Yoga Sandals(R) just got a mention in PODIATRY TODAY as a new product that "Keeps Toes In Line (May, 2010, page 70). We hope that more podiatrists, doctors of osteopathy, and health practitioners will investigate the benefits of Yoga Sandals(R)!
Wellness expert, Andrew Weil, M.D. was quoted in Footwear News (June 14th, page 18): " Footwear that challenges stability to stimulate a workout isn't a replacement for exercise itself---like fads such as toning and rocker-bottom shoes. Footwear should assist balance, stability, alignment and good foot health so the body can move freely, unhindered and safely. People with foot and biomechanical problems shouldn't wear footwear that makes it more difficult to walk, as this may worsen their problems and cause greater pain." ((Andrew Weil, Footwear News) . While not mentioning Yoga Sandals(R), we felt this quote was supporting our footwear! We promote balance, stability, alignment and good foot health by spreading the toes and providing critical heel bone support that allows the arch to work naturally. Our sandals keep foot bones and joints flexible, promote good blood and nerve circulation through the arch, and increase balance and stability of the body. We are going to see that Dr. Weil gets a pair!
We hope you have a good July, and to those customers who are struggling in the Gulf, please contact us at customerservice@yogasandals.com for whatever help we can provide to ease the pain.
